AudioCodes offers the enterprise customer a key component in the Unified Communications network – the Media Gateway - which connects the existing legacy telephony PBX with Microsoft Unified Communications servers – Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Microsoft Lync Server 2010.
AudioCodes Media Gateways enable the connectivity between the existing legacy PBX in the enterprise and the Unified Communications platforms, in order to allow PC users the flexibility of placing phone calls to telephony users, receiving presence information, and supporting future converged capabilities of the Microsoft Unified Communications framework.
In addition, AudioCodes provides SIP Phone Support (SPS) for Microsoft Unified Communications, allowing economically affordable connections to Office Communications Server / Lync Server via standard SIP IP Phones from AudioCodes and from third-party vendors.
