RedLinX Becomes MemoRight Distributor in South Africa
RedLinX™, a multifaceted specialist engineering technology company operating in South Africa, has signed an agreement with Memoright to become the distributor in South Africa and the African Sub-Sahara territory, furthering sales presence of MemoRight whilst offering assistance to the South African customer. This service provider will sit under the Embedded Solutions Division, one of four divisions within RedLinX.
RedLinX, who will be exhibiting at the Africa Aerospace & Defence 2010, which will be held from 21-25 September 2010, will showcase an array of Memoright military, industrial and enterprise level ruggedized solid-state drive (SSD) products.
A SSD is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent and providing local support to their South African customers. SSDs are distinguished from traditional hard disk drives (HDDs), which are electromechanical devices containing spinning disks and movable read/write heads. SSDs, in contrast, use microchips, and contain no moving parts. Compared to traditional HDDs, SSDs are typically less susceptible to physical shock, quieter, and have lower access time and latency. SSDs use the same interface as hard disk drives, thus easily replacing them in most applications.
